The creation of the Clave brand was driven by a family member’s passion for coffee and music. Clave operates in the special coffee segment and oversees the entire coffee production process, from cultivation to roasting.
The brand’s purpose is to offer consumers a moment to pause and reflect on their busy and stressful lives, accompanied by coffee, good music, and pleasant conversation. Clave represents a family tradition that has evolved into a concept.
About the project
Clave’s visual identity pays tribute to its history and passions: art and coffee. It conveys the idea that coffee and music are powerful forces that can renew energy and provide experiences to leave the hustle and bustle behind. This message is strongly present in the brand’s visual identity, making it visually appealing and able to stand out from competitors.
Clave’s visual identity features a logo that represents the concept that unites the two arts: time. The color palette reflects the balance between its exclusive and artistic sides. Musicality and rhythm are strongly present in the various graphic elements, as well as in the illustrations that strongly mark the brand’s visual identity.

This analogy is used to convey the concept of time, with the keys symbolizing the short block of sound time that is released when a key is played, and the short space of pause time that Clave wants its audience to take.
Additionally, there is a break in the logo, creating a slight separation and unevenness between the two syllables of the brand name. This break signifies the intention to take a deep breath and relax in the middle of a long day. The lowercase typography adds a sense of closeness, making the brand’s visual identity even more human.
